Head of Creative

As Badoo’s Head of Creative you will champion our mission to create a world where all people feel free to date honestly, and express it through best in class creative and storytelling. The right candidate will have truckloads of ambition and ideas, gets Badoo as a brand, and can channel their creative energy to deliver campaign executions that meaningfully impact culture. You will be in charge of all every interaction our brand has with our audience. It’s a big gig.
Key Accountabilities :
  • Build Badoo into a clear and purposeful brand by leveraging creativity and technology to accelerate culture 
  • Develop a world-class in-house agency and creative team that can generate and execute global creative work to be leveraged across our markets 
  • Continuously ideate and produce outstanding campaigns that drive growth, from creative strategy through to copy, design, and production
  • Be an ambassador for the Badoo brand, keeping people excited about our vision and instilling the brand values at all levels to make them a part of our culture
  • Collaborate with product on app features and product marketing based on our brand mission and identity 
  • Own and evolve Badoo’s look & feel, evolving our brand to a globally recognisable, distinct brand that becomes synonymous with honesty and openness 
  • Ensure consistency of branding and TOV across all customer touch points
Required skills and knowledge:
  • A strong cultural perspective of why honesty and openness are fundamental values by which all people should connect and build relationships
  • Audacity and courage to develop and execute culturally impactful creative ideas
  • Ability to create a buzz and energy behind a brand that delights consumers
  • Exceptional conceptual, strategic art and copy skills. We’d love to see a portfolio that showcases innovative creative strategies for other brands
  • Drive to make things happen: we do not like big hierarchies and corporate cultures. At Badoo everybody rolls their sleeves up and gets things done, even people with fancy titles
  • Understanding of international markets, especially the UK, France, US, Russia, Spain, and Brazil
  • Strong emotional intelligence to lead and inspire others, and build relationships at all levels
  • Outstanding understanding of customer insights, user research and audience segmentation
  • Ability to create a work environment that is high performance, fun and encourages active decision-making and considered risk-taking
